The #Microsoft Sculpt keyboard is apparently dearly loved by many, but while idly browsing for second-hand split keyboards on eBay, I discovered many are sold without the proprietary dongle... because the dongle tends to die after a couple of years of life, and MS offer no replacement or alternative, leading to expensive keyboards that become ewaste very quickly.

@thesaigoneer TIL If you install alpine (for aarch64 at least), you can use the provided /usr/sbin/setup-desktop to install a shortish-list of desktops. One such is called xkcd-wayland, and it comes with greetd as dm/login-manager. As installed, this uses ‘cage’ (aka cage-kiosk) as ‘greeter’, which boasts a rather limited sort of isolation for the launched desktop. It’s not yet clear to me whether this allows it to handle options (like niri) alongside xfce, at login. More fun TBD!

The former only executes commands in the `package.json` `scripts` object. The latter will execute scripts or binaries installed from dependencies.
You need `scripts: {'my-script': 'my-script'}` to get them to behave the same.

Today I learned about how to fish better using fishbait. we caught some beauties, including a tuna I needed for a quest. Nice! Fishing is a very good way to make money, which I'm busiloy squirreling away for my next house adn barn upgrades.

#2025 war wirklich ein Durchbruch in Sachen #digitalesouveranitat bei mir. Im Februar wurde #google Kalender mit einem souveränen deutschen Anbieter ersetzt, im Mai habe ich #whatsapp abgeschaltet. Seit einigen Wochen läuft der Rechner zuhause mit #linuxmint
#unplugtrump läuft. 😀 größter Wunsch für 2026: Wechsel auf #GrapheneOS auf dem Smartphone. Daneben viele kleine weitere, kleinere Verbesserungen.
Und das beste: fühlt sich gut an. 🙂

Da ist leider was Wahres dran ....
Ich hab die Tage Weihnachtsgeschenke bei @wandklex bestellt und- wow. Nicht nur hab ich noch einen Kühlschrankmagneten und eine Handvoll Postkarten zusätzlich bekommen, die beiden Stücke sind auch noch so toll verpackt, dass ich die gar nicht aufmachen mag, um zu gucken, was ich verschenke. Bin sehr zufrieden und freue mich die Beschenkten Gesichter zu sehen! 😀
Teil 2: Mein digitales Doppelleben 🎭
Rückblickend war mein Verhalten völlig paradox. Die Skepsis gegenüber Big Tech war nämlich nicht neu – sie war mein ständiger Begleiter.
Das Absurde daran: Ich war bereit, viel Geld für meine Privatsphäre zu zahlen. Ich besitze seit Jahren stolz ein Proton Visionary Abo. 💜
Ich unterstützte also finanziell aktiv die Privacy-Bewegung... während ich auf meinem Desktop fröhlich Windows 11 nutzte und meine Dokumente durch die Microsoft-Cloud schob.

Ich lebte in einem massiven Widerspruch:
✅ Gesinnung: Pro Datenschutz & Verschlüsselung.
❌ Alltag: Bequemlichkeit im Microsoft-Ökosystem.
Diese Zweigleisigkeit funktionierte nicht mehr. Man kann nicht digitale Souveränität predigen (oder bezahlen) und gleichzeitig den Datenkraken die Tür aufhalten.
Es war Zeit, die Hardware an die Haltung anzupassen.

Kurz gesagt: Wir streichen genau das, was uns herausfordert, wachsen lässt und uns stolz auf uns und unsere Fähigkeiten machen kann.
Ich weiß, das ist naiver Hippie-Shit, aber ich würde mir wirklich wünschen, dass wir eine Debatte führen darüber, wie wir als reiche Gesellschaft dafür sorgen können, dass es allen gut geht. Und nicht darüber, wie man am besten Schwächere bestraft.

Weil die scheinen da eindeutig den technischen Sachverstand zu haben, die der SPD Bundestagsfraktion fehlt.
Der Bau von neuen Autobahnen und Schienenwegen, der Ersatz von maroden Brücken und die Sanierung wichtiger Wasserstraßen sollen künftig prioritär behandelt werden. Das beschleunigt Genehmigungsverfahren, verbessert die Mobilität aller Bürgerinnen und Bürger und sorgt für eine funktionierende und wachsende Wirtschaft. Dafür hat das Kabinett heute das Infrastruktur-Zukunftsgesetz beschlossen.
Haha ich habe gerade versehentlich eine Party gestürmt, zu der #EvaTraindestroyer natürlich nicht eingeladen war: Ich teste heute den neuen Sprinter Stuttgart - Berlin (unter fünf Stunden!!), und offenbar ist es die Jungfernfahrt. Verkehrsminister Hermann und OB Nopper spucken große Töne im Bordbistro. Praktischer Nebeneffekt: wenigstens heute ist er pünktlich. (hatte mich schon gewundert, wieso der so früh am Gleis steht und überall Security drumrum)

kurzer Abstecher in die Heraldik: Die Kirsche ist eine seltene Wappenfigur, zB für Achern-Mösbach (Süd-BaWü).
Pfirsich wurde vor Jahrtausenden in China kultiviert. Sein deutscher Name stammt vom Lateinischen persicus, Verweis auf historischen Verbreitungsweg über Persien nach Europa.
Heute gibt es zahlreiche Sorten, werden u.a. nach der Farbe des Fruchtfleischs (weiß, gelb, rot) unterschieden.
Ich tue mich bei solchen Reden ja immer bissi schwer einzuordnen, ob man sowas nur aus bösartigen Populismus macht oder ob es einfach ehrliche völlige Inkompetenz ist.
Weil am Ende würde das ja bedeuten, dass die SPD es schafft, das ganze Teams auf solche Reden schauen und niemand auch nur kurz mal die Folgen von solchen Forderungen zu durchdenken wagt. Bzw niemand dort die Fähigkeit dazu hat.
