Update: Called 13Health. After taking my temperature (normal) and blood pressure (within normal limits) nurse advised keep taking antibiotics, pain meds. If no better seek further GP, but should be ok. So I had night of owie-ness, again, with ice packs every so often, and this morning I’m still temperature and blood pressure ok. Still painful sinus and headache-y, but nowhere near the agony of last night. Was tempted to try and Do Things but have decided another rest day might be far wiser.
If I’m still this sore tomorrow when the surgeon opens, though, I’ll be phoning and saying should it REALLY be hurting this much? (although I suspect I’ll be told keep taking the antibiotics and pain meds, he does seem to think I’m a troublesome patient… even though I am doing all the things - nourishing diet, swooshing my mouth with warm salty water after every meal, Savcol rinses, etc.) Sigh. Thanks again, Pocket Friends. 💜

So I made sure that (almost) all of my "smart" devices work without an internet connection by putting them on a VLAN with no default gateway. Devices that don't work without an internet connection are a risk, IMHO. #LifeHack

30年くらい前になるかなあ、音楽界隈の打ち上げかなんかである人が「今はバイトで食べてるけど福祉系の資格を取るために勉強してる」って言ってて「これから老人は増えるから介護職は重要になって食いっぱぐれは無いだろう」って。
それが市場原理もクソもなく政府の思惑で底辺の仕事にされるなんて思ってもいなかった。本当に夢も希望も奪われた30年なんだな。
新自由主義でさえない搾取社会を終わらせるためのカウンターとして共産党の議席を守りたいです。

Ich habe ein altes MacBook Air aus 2011 vor dem Elektroschrott bewahrt. Die defekte Tastatur wurde gegen eine neue getauscht, Kostenpunkt 18€. Gebrauchtes Ladegerät dazu, 15€. Es lag seit mindestens 2 Jahren im Regal und war mir irgendwie zu schade zu entsorgen. Apple bietet keinen Support und keine Updates mehr, es war unbedienbar langsam. Jetzt Linux drauf und ES RENNT WIE SAU! Perfekt für unsere Tochter für die Schule. Die zwei Stunden Umbau haben sich definitiv gelohnt.

Erfolg für den Naturschutz: In Indien gibt es wieder mehr Gangesdelfine. Die Tiere breiten sich wieder aus, weil der Ganges von Müll gereinigt und Wilderei bekämpft wird.

我深知自己之前拥有的自由除了个人坚持和选择，也有很大一部分是由于运气。但这样的运气一定会逐渐减少的，时间不会放过任何人，自由的收缩与衰老都不可避免。我会努力保护好自己争取自由的勇气，但不执着于生活能够更接近理想了。
又突然想明白我不愿意社交的理由之一，按照世俗的价值观来看我就是个彻底的废物，但通常我也不会用这种价值观来衡量自己，不过社交多了难免会受影响，我就会真的觉得自己是个废物。
其实今天有一件不大不小的事：我妈中午打电话说因为查出来脑小血管血流不畅（没记住专业描述），已经住院了。不过问题不大，每天打打吊瓶就行，住院是因为她懒得跑社区医院。尽管如此，还是又多了一层隐忧。虽然很想逃离目前的环境，但从父母的角度，我短时间内又换地方他们肯定会非常担心，而我也确实在今天听说我妈住院的一瞬实实在在地感到了“危机”——就算没有娃要操心，父母的保险和退休金也还好，但再过几年肯定不会还像现在这样相对健康了，那时照顾他们就是我不可逃避的责任。
我还有几年时间只需要考虑自己？会不会此刻的我已经失去这样的机会了，只是还要过一段时间自己才肯承认？但无论怎样，今天我已经明确地意识到了那远走高飞的机会我随时可能丧失。

其实今天有一件不大不小的事：我妈中午打电话说因为查出来脑小血管血流不畅（没记住专业描述），已经住院了。不过问题不大，每天打打吊瓶就行，住院是因为她懒得跑社区医院。尽管如此，还是又多了一层隐忧。虽然很想逃离目前的环境，但从父母的角度，我短时间内又换地方他们肯定会非常担心，而我也确实在今天听说我妈住院的一瞬实实在在地感到了“危机”——就算没有娃要操心，父母的保险和退休金也还好，但再过几年肯定不会还像现在这样相对健康了，那时照顾他们就是我不可逃避的责任。
我还有几年时间只需要考虑自己？会不会此刻的我已经失去这样的机会了，只是还要过一段时间自己才肯承认？但无论怎样，今天我已经明确地意识到了那远走高飞的机会我随时可能丧失。

Buenos días. Si hay una cosa que me gusta de 🦣Mastodon, es su línea del tiempo orgánica y humana. Si todo el mundo está durmiendo, se percibe al instante que estás solo y que puedes escribir unas notas al vacío. Percibes los humores detrás de cada texto, de cada publicación. Si hay una actividad inusual, hay algo que genera inquietud o interés grupal que revuelve la línea y la acelera, etc.. En definitiva, percibes el pálpito humano que hay detrás, y eso es maravilloso. Feliz domingo.

Yo si me fuese del fediverso, en este caso de #mastodon posiblemente sería a ningún otro lado. Desaparecer de redes sociales totalmente y conectarme a un grupo de ganchillo o algo así.
Donde no iría desde luego es a BlueSky y mierdas similares. Para mi eso no es una opción valida porque quiero construir en otro modelo de redes sociales, no un perro con distinto collar.
Pero respeto a quien lo haga desde luego.
Ha sido un evento muy bonico, la organización es muy bonica, hemos visto a un montón de personas bonicas, (incluso a algunas que hacía mil que no veíamos y ha sido una alegría poder apachurrar), hemos desvirtualizado brevemente a @spectrumgirl y @t3rr0rz0n3 que también son muy bonicos (gracias mil por pasaros!💙) y yo ya por hoy pues ya estaría. En fin, estoy molida pero bien. Mañana a descansar. El sábado que viene repetimos, pero en formato mini. 😂

Pase! Lo hice bien. No cometí errores en kihon, mi kata (Enpi) me salio perfecto, el kumité (combate) estuvo chévere.
El punto más dificil es el kata que escoge el shihan. Tuve suerte porque me pidió uno de los 8 que había estudiado, por suerte! Ese era el punto más dificil porque podria haberme preguntado uno que no tuviera practicado y habría sido el acabose. En ese cometí un error, pero no tan grave como para perder la prueba.

Quando queste ci sono, perché gli ultimi inverni se ne sono viste di meno. Di solito portano palloni da calcio sgonfi, plastiche che si mescolano a resti di laterizi abbandonati probabilmente da imprese edili del posto. Con le foto cerco di raccontare qualcosa d'altro, dove forse quasi l'essere umano nemmeno c'è.

Unpopular take: I am disappointed “halo” studios is moving away from their own engine to work on Unreal 5. Besides the still abysmal shader caching issues on PC. it dilutes the already small pool of game engines being used today. Slipspace engine overall worked great and in my opinion looked great especially in Multiplayer. I do hope the series makes a return to form but I doubt it. Personally still digging Infinite MP

Finished Lorelei & the Laser Eyes, what a treat 🤓 I did have to look up hints online a couple of times but I really loved the story and art direction of the game. 10 out of 12 zucchinis. Just started Zelda and the graphics are adorable! I'm glad I haven't watched any videos for this. #Videogames #NintendoSwitch
