In addition to of course having the four corner window tiling since forever, Plasma 6 allows you to set manual tiles where applications will snap into (with optional padding).
To bring up the tile edit interface, press Super (windows key) + T
After you set up things to your liking, hold [SHIFT] while dragging a window, it'll show a shadow for the tile it'll snap into.
You can use this even while also keeping the other modes active

Pure (2008) for Windows XP is one of Disney’s most expensive video game misfires.
Did you know Disney once published an ATV racing game? Yeah—Disney. The same company that gives us princesses and endless Marvel spinoffs was, for a brief and shiny moment, trying to be a serious video game publisher.
Fox tried it. Warner Bros. tried it. Disney thought it could too. But in the end? They couldn’t make a dent.
Pure was their big swing. Developed by Black Rock Studio in Brighton—the same crew that created the original MotoGP games and ATV Offroad Fury—it had pedigree.
And Disney didn’t skimp: a marketing budget north of $10 million, slick demos that wowed the press, and even a Best Racing Game of E3 2008 award to hang on the wall. Critics loved it. 8s and 9s across the board. PC Gamer US gave it 82%. On paper, this thing should’ve been massive.
But when it hit shelves in September 2008—across Xbox 360, PS3, and yes, Windows XP—it sputtered. No one knows the exact number, because Disney never bragged about it, but the best estimates hover around 300,000 copies sold worldwide. For a cross-platform release with that kind of push, that’s a commercial faceplant.
A game that gave you giant canyon jumps, a deep trick system, even LAN play on PC—it still managed to vanish almost instantly. Black Rock followed it with Split/Second, which also flopped, and then Disney pulled the plug. By 2011 the studio was gone, and by 2016 Disney Interactive itself stopped publishing games altogether.
So Pure lives on as a weird artifact. A critically adored racer from the Mouse House’s short-lived experiment in being a “real” publisher. A game that should’ve soared, but barely left the runway.

It's all about some Post Bop #Klezmer tonight!
Probably the first of my favorite songs from #JohnZorn and his #Masada ensemble.
Also, pretty much one of the first albums of his that I bought along with his Painkiller "Execution Grounds" project. Both blew the top of my head off when I first heard them in 1994.
Regretfully, I've never seen any of the iterations of Masada. I was, however, fortunate enough to catch Painkiller on their first tour through Seattle at Moe's Mo' Rockin' Cafe up on Capitol Hill.
This song "Abidan" off the album "Gimel" is much less frenetic, with significantly less #skronk, and more of a slow jazz-noir burn compared to most of their other work. "Hazor"(the 2nd song after this one) is another slowish, kinda swingin' tune.

Next month, Microsoft will begin automatically installing the Microsoft 365 Copilot app on Windows devices outside of the EEA region that have the Microsoft 365 desktop client apps, Bleeping Computer writes.
"The Microsoft 365 Copilot app integrates the AI-powered Copilot assistant with Microsoft 365 suite apps, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as other features like Notebooks and AI agents.
"Redmond also advised admins to notify their organizations' helpdesk teams and users before the app is forcibly installed on their devices "to reduce confusion and support requests."
"The rollout will start in early October and be completed by mid-November; however, the Microsoft 365 Copilot app will not be installed on systems within the European Economic Area (EEA)."

i only got this apartment because my employer's relocation provider scammed me and just didn't do anything so i had to get into an overpriced temporary housing unit to not become homeless
so please send me any hints you have, only real offers and no online advertisements, i know how to use a web app myself
i'm already late on paying rent for this month by 15 days and my situation just seems to get worse, i can't afford any of this
People who have never mentioned Charlie Kirk are being wrongfully targeted online and doxxed. @taylorlorenz reports on two such cases. Ali Nasrati discovered, after receiving a barrage of abuse and death threats and being suspended from work, that an X account started in May was using his name and a photo stolen from his social media. Cynthia Rehberg, a school principal in Wisconsin, was misidentified by a conservative influencer from a Facebook post, after which her district received 800 voicemails calling for her firing. "Over 200,000 people think that I'm somebody that I'm not," Nastrati told Lorenz, referring to the number of views one of the X posts attacking him received. "I don't know if anybody's following me. I don't feel safe going into public areas. I don't know who's there. I don't know who is going to be able to recognize me or not, or who might do something. I'm constantly looking behind my back."

Why Americans Don't Walk To School - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lShDhGn5e5s
this neighborhood he filmed looks so much like America-as-I-know-her that it hurts. When I was a child, I lived in a housing development, a separate loop from the main road, nothing but houses on both sides for the whole loop. Sounds safe for kids, right? I was utterly forbidden from crossing the street ever, for any reason. In the three years I lived there, two children I knew were flattened by cars. One was in a wheelchair for years, the other had permanent brain damage. And we were lucky to have a sidewalk the whole length of the loop - which would quickly disappear beyond its edge; walking anywhere else was impossible, it was an island in a sea of high-speed roads.
The next development we lived in, the school had a street-by-street map of who was and wasn't allowed to walk to school. It was in theory a 15 minute walk, but we were forbidden because 10 of that would be on a highway with absolutely no accommodations for walking alongside it. There was a secret path through the woods that some kids used. There was a shopping center about as far in the other direction with, again, absolutely no way to walk there (and no busses). I grew up trapped in lonely fortresses in a sea of concrete, and I am still not used to the freedom I have in Europe to just... go places and do things.
